Velocity Social Media is a social media management company that takes the hassle out of customer relations on the internet. Velocity Social Media builds and optimizes a great digital presence for business while businesses continue to do what they do best – run their business. 

Velocity Social Media moves businesses forward in an age where digital presence dominates the internet. They focus on providing a full spectrum of social media management services to local and regional small to medium-sized companies. They build a local social presence for a company’s brand.

Target Audience:

Their clients include attorneys, doctors, mechanics, financial institutions, national internet marketing companies, a Silicon Valley startup, a South American winery, wellness professionals, accountants, realtors, mechanics, a mortgage banker and an air conditioning company. 

Velocity Social Media helps businesses which do not have the time, understanding or expertise to professionally manage their own social media. They help businesses who wish to connect with customers, grow and engage their clientele, reflect their brand and stay in control of their social media management with a professional voice through management of all their social media and internet marketing needs. Through a boutique approach, they thrive on helping businesses with a personalized touch.

Proposal for Integrated Marketing Communication Approach (IMC):

My proposal is for Velocity Social Media to run an event on October 20, 2016, utilizing IMC which will be complementary to all non-profits wishing to attend in order to teach these companies to maximize internet marketing, particularly social media, to capture the most donations possible on Give Miami Day sponsored by The Miami Foundation. Give Miami Day is a fundraising event movement which takes place each year, every Thursday before Thanksgiving, held for a 24 hour time period where non-profits compete to best achieve the highest number of donations in that period of time.

What is Give Miami Day?

As per the Give Miami Day website, “Give Miami Day allows all individuals in our community to make a philanthropic impact by collectively supporting our local nonprofit organizations.  Twenty-four hours of giving begins at midnight on November 19 and ends at midnight on November 20, 2015.  Throughout the day, individuals may view online profiles of more than 500 nonprofit organizations serving Miami-Dade County and make a charitable gift here on givemiamiday.org.”

Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Approach:

Velocity Social Media should utilize an integrated marketing communication (IMC) approach to run this event that is not only consistent with its method to help grow its customers’ businesses, but also applying this consistent brand messaging across both traditional and non-traditional marketing channels while using different promotional methods to reinforce each other to grow their very own business. According to the Houston Small Business Chronicle, “In the traditional approach to marketing communications, businesses and their agencies plan separate campaigns for advertising, press relations, direct marketing and sales promotions. Integrated campaigns use the same communication tools to reinforce each other and improve marketing effectiveness. In an integrated campaign, you can use advertising to raise awareness of a product and generate leads for the sales force.”

Closing Remarks

 Whether as a communications platform, education tool, selling platform or overall social activity, social media is the future and will continue to grow. Velocity Social Media stands in a position to be able to capture market share and audience growth providing educational tools to both the non-profit as well as the for profit businesses in the Miami community.

Hosting and sponsoring such an event as #DigitalGive in order to help local non-profit organizations reach a larger audience for the fundraising raising opportunities arising on Give Miami Day is an excellent way for Velocity Social Media to grow in name, reputation, branding efforts and overall visibility. Through the diverse strategies available in IMC, Velocity Social Media will apply this consistent brand messaging across both traditional and non-traditional marketing channels while using different promotional methods to reinforce each other to grow their very own business.

No other marketing agency is offering this type of service in Miami. The future looks busy and prosperous for Velocity Social Media. With the integrated marketing communication tools available, including the analytics provided with some of these IMC tools, the company is able to reach and capture an audience needing its services of #DigitalGive in preparation for Give Miami Day.
